If your users are experiencing problems with creating or entering an AMVONET Room

In some cases during creating or entering an AMVONET Room users might see a typical error message such as follows:

  • 7 COULDNT CONNECT
  • 22 HTTP RETURNED ERROR
  • 28 OPERATION TIMEDOUT
  • 408 Request Timeout
  • 500 Internal Server Error
  • 504 Gateway Timeout

To solve these issues you can try to do the following:

1. Make sure you have properly configured the firewall in your Moodle server:

  • Ports 80 and 8080 are open for outgoing network connections
  • Server has external access to the following IPs: 107.21.93.255, 107.21.95.66, 184.73.159.128, 184.73.160.144, 50.18.186.127, 184.72.240.111

2. Make sure debug mode is switched off in your Moodle in Site Administration -> Server -> Debugging -> Display debug messages = No

3. Make sure that the AMVONET Room plugin was installed properly:

  • It should be visible in Modules -> Activities -> AMVONET Room.
  • AMVONET Room plugin files were placed into the /mod/amvonetroom folder and have the same sizes as original ones from downloaded archive

3. Make sure that you have registered your copy of the AMVONET Room in the License Server and received your license key.
