 User Specific Permissions
Article 1. Drawing Tools –Drawing tools allow an instructor or student to draw on a whiteboard or slide

Turn on drawing tools
- To “Turn ON” the drawing tools, make sure the square box is green under the quill icon for the user you wish to give whiteboard permissions to.



Turn off drawing tools
- To “Turn OFF” the drawing tools, make sure the green square box is removed under the quill icon for the user you wish to take the whiteboard permissions away from.



2. Public chat –Public Chat allows a student to type inside the public text box at the bottom right.

Turn on Public Chat
- To “Turn ON” the public chat tools, make sure the square box is green under the text bubble icon for the user you wish to give public chat permissions to.



Turn off Public Chat
- To “Turn OFF” the public chat tools, make sure the green square box is removed under the text bubble icon for the user you wish to take public chat permissions from.



3. Private Chat – Private chat allows users to send private text chats between themselves.
Turn on Private Text Chat
- To “Turn ON” the private text chat, make sure the square box is green under the text bubble icon with a digit two next to it for the user you wish to give private chat permissions to.
- NOTE: Students can still Private Text Chat a moderator or guest moderator without any private text chat permissions. The Private Text Chat permission is used only to give student’s the privilege of private text messaging each other.



Turn off Private Text Chat
- To “Turn OFF” the private text chat, make sure the green square box is removed under the text bubble icon with a digit two next to it for the user you wish to take private chat permissions from.



4. Audio – Audio allows the selected user to broadcast their audio to all participants and to be recorded.
Turn on Audio of a user
- To “Turn ON” audio for yourself or students, make sure the square box is green for the user you wish to enable audio for.



Turn Off audio of a user
- To “Turn OFF” audio for yourself or students, make sure the square box is removed for the user you wish to disable audio for.



5. Video – Video allows the selected user to broadcast their audio to all participants and to be recorded.
Turn on video of a user
- To “Turn ON” video for yourself or students, make sure the square box is green for the user you wish to enable video for.



Turn off video of yourself and students
- To “Turn OFF” video for yourself or students, make sure the square box is removed for the user you wish to disable video for.
